I usually do my nails in the evening, after work, so the quality of my photos is somewhat influenced and even diminished by the flash and the lighting in the room. On Saturday, I painted my nails using the gorgeous dark brown I mentioned in this post, with the intention to do a swatch for you. Well, that turned out to be a bad idea, as in the photos I took I can almost see a black nail polish, as you can observe in the first picture. I gave up…
De obicei îmi fac unghiile seara, după serviciu, astfel încât calitatea pozelor este într-o oarecare măsură influențată și chiar diminuată de bliț și de lumina din cameră. Duminică mi-am făcut unghiile cu acest superb maro închis pe care l-am menționat în această postare, cu intenția de a face un swatch pentru voi. Ei bine, asta s-a dovedit a fi o idee proastă întrucât, în pozele pe care le-am făcut, mai că văd o ojă neagră, așa cum puteți observa în prima poză. M-am dat bătută…
The colour of this nail polish is actually that of dark chocolate (trust me, I even compared it to a dark chocolate that I eventually ate :). It’s a very rich brown that almost looks black in artificial light, totally perfect for autumn. As usual, I only have good things to say about Rimmel 60 Seconds nail polishes. Just like the other ones I have, it applied easily, without streaking and it dried fast. The brush is flat and really helps with the application. Also, if you are careful enough, you can get away with just one coat for full opacity, as the consistency of this nail polish is very creamy and dense. But I applied two coats.
Culoarea acestei oje este, de fapt, aceea a ciocolatei negre (credeți-mă, am comparat-o cu o ciocolată neagră pe care am mâncat-o ulterior :). Este un maro foarte intens care pare aproape negru în lumina artificială, perfect pentru toamnă. Ca de obicei, nu am decât lucruri bune de spus despre ojele Rimmel 60 Seconds. Precum celelalte pe care le am, s-a aplicat ușor, fără dâre și s-a uscat repede. Pensula este plată și ajutămult la aplicare. De asemenea, cu puțină atenție, puteți scăpa cu un singur strat pentru opacitate completă, deoarece consistența acestei oje este foarte cremoasă și densă. Dar eu am aplicat două straturi.
You can tell it’s brown only when compared to black. So, because after a couple of days the nail polish started to lightly chip at the tips (nobody could have seen it, but me), but also because not wearing an unique manicure is no longer an option for me, I decided to tape half on my nails horizontally and paint the other half with black nail polish. I immediately removed the tape and, as the nail polish was still wet, I applied a gold stud in the middle of each nail, right where the two colours meet. I must admit that I love these studs from Born Pretty Store and I feel the need to incorporate them in every design. I finally applied a top coat and that was it. This way, I managed to prolong the life of my manicure until Saturday, when I will show you a new manicure from the T.P.A. Group challenge.
Realizezi că este maro doar atunci când este comparată cu negru. Așadar, pentru că după vreo două zile oja a început să se roadă ușor la vârfuri (nimeni nu ar fi observat asta în afară de mine), dar și pentru că a nu purta o manichură unicat nu mai reprezintă o opțiune pentru mine, am decis să îmi lipesc scoci pe orizontală, pe jumătate de unghie, apoi să aplic ojă neagră pe cealaltă jumătate. Am îndepărtat imediat scociul și, cât timp oja era încă umedă, am aplicat câte o țintă aurie pe mijlocul fiecărei unghii, exact unde se întâlnesc cele două culori. Trebuie să recunosc că ador aceste ținte de la Born Pretty Store și simt nevoia să le încorporez în fiecare model. La final am aplicat un top coat și asta a fost tot. În acest fel, am reușit să prelungesc viața manichiurii mele până sâmbătă, când vă voi arăta o nouă manichiură din cadrul colaborării din grupul T.P.A.
