Lace

Hello, everybody !

Today's theme in the "Alphabet nail art challenge" is the letter 'L', and I chose to create this Lace manicure. This look was created a while back, while my nails were a bit longer and rounder, but I didn't get to write the post until now.

To achieve this manicure, I started with a base coat and then applied Golden Rose Rich Color #05 on all of my nails. On the accent nails, I applied some special nail art lace from Cupio. It is light pink and has pink glitters in different sizes. On the rest of my nails, I applied a small amount of KIKO Sparkle Touch #261 Pearly Amethyst starting from the cuticle area, on 3/4 of the nails. While that was still wet, I applied some small individual pink hexagonal glitters from Born Pretty Store, in some sort of a gradient effect. The manicure was sealed with Seche Vite top coat.

So... now onto your opinions ! Do you like the theme, the idea, the result, the pictures ?... I'd love to see what you think about this design. Thank you for your time ! ^_^

Khaki

Hello, everybody !

Today's theme in the "Alphabet nail art challenge" is the letter 'K', and I chose to create this Khaki manicure. I wanted to create a simple manicure, because lately it's been very hard for me to find the time to come up with new ideas and to create new designs.

This time I chose to use the gorgeous khaki color from Rimmel 60 Seconds #813 Round And Round The Garden after applying the base coat, as usual. On top of it, I just applied some simple water decals and some black round studs, sealed the manicure with Seche Vite top coat and this is what turned out...

So... now onto your opinions ! Do you like the theme, the idea, the result, the pictures ?... I'd love to see what you think about this design. Thank you for your time ! ^_^

Just playing

Hello, everybody !

Today's theme in the "Alphabet nail art challenge" is the letter 'J', and I chose to create this Just playing manicure. As you might have already noticed, I started picking some really strange names for my manicures lately, I just hope this doesn't bother you that much... After all, you are my readers and it's your opinion I care about most. For this distressed effect I used the dry brush technique. It's not the first time I tried it, you can see my first design here, it was actually the first theme from this amazing collaboration that I absolutely love.

I started by applying a base coat and then white nail polish on all of the nails. When that dried, I chose yellow, pink, blue, green and purple in this exact order and, using this technique, I applied each one of them in different spots on the nails. Lastly, I sealed the manicure with my Seche Vite top coat. This technique is very versatile, as its effect can be completely different every time, depending on the color combinations and the number of nail polishes you decide to use. For this particular design I just wanted to play with vibrant colors for a summer manicure.

So... now onto your opinions ! Do you like the theme, the idea, the result, the pictures ?... I'd love to see what you think about this design. Thank you for your time ! ^_^

In love

Hello, everybody !

Today's theme in the "Alphabet nail art challenge" is the letter 'I', and I chose to create this In love manicure. I know that the title I chose is quite unusual, but I felt like it would be unique in this collaboration. I just hope you'll approve. ^_^ I used my newest Astor additions 'Yellow Buttercup' and 'Soft Poppy' for this look, together with some heart-shaped water decals.

I applied a base coat on all of my nails, then used Astor 'Soft Poppy' on two of my nails and Astor 'Yellow Buttercup' on the remaining ones. Then I simply added the water decals on the yellow nails. I really like these decals, because they are very easy to use and they come in handy when you don't have too much time to paint your nails. I sealed the manicure with Seche Vite top coat and it lasted me for a whole week.

So... now onto your opinions ! Do you like the theme, the idea, the result, the pictures ?... I'd love to see what you think about this design. Thank you for your time ! ^_^

Houndstooth

Hello, everybody !

Today's theme in the "Alphabet nail art challenge" is the letter 'H', and I chose to create a Houndstooth manicure. I used the beautiful sky blue #842 Too Cool To Tango from Rimmel 60 Seconds as a base, Kiko #266 Ultramarine Blue for stamping and some striping tape.

I started with a base coat and then applied two coats of Too Cool To Tango on all of my nails. When that dried, I placed two strips of scotch tape on each nail (except for the pinky), so that I'd be left with a triangular shape. I then stamped the houndstooth pattern using a stamping plate from Born Pretty Store and immediately removed the scotch tape. I finally cut some striping tape and outlined the triangle. On the pinky I decided to stamp the pattern on the whole nail. Finally, I sealed the design with Seche Vite top coat.

So... now onto your opinions ! Do you like the theme, the idea, the result, the pictures ?... I'd love to see what you think about this design. Thank you for your time ! ^_^

Glitter gradient

Hello, everybody !

Today's theme in the "Alphabet nail art challenge" is the letter 'G', and I chose to create a Glitter gradient manicure. I used some vibrant Lm nail polishes for this look, together with the iridescent glitter nail polish from Cupio Rainbow #57.

I first used a base coat and then applied a light green nail polish on three of my nails, while choosing a vibrant peach for my ring and thumb nails (you should know that on my right hand I switched up the colors). I thought that these colors worked great together, but I decided that the iridescent glitter nail polish Rainbow #57 from Cupio was all it took to tie this manicure together. It contains small, medium and large hexagonal glitters in a transparent base. The amount of glitter is just about right and it transfers well on the nails, it applies easily and the drying time is not bad at all. I decided to cover up the accent nails entirely with two coats of this glitter, while on the other nails I used it to create a gradient from the cuticle area. I chose these colors because I think they really resemble the tones of the glitter particles in different lighting, but I really like how it looks like on the color of the accent nails. When it was all dry, I applied one coat of Seche Vite and kept my manicure for a whole week.

So... now onto your opinions ! Do you like the theme, the idea, the result, the pictures ?... I'd love to see what you think about this design. Thank you for your time ! ^_^

Golden Rose Holiday #78

Hello, dears !

It's been awhile since I last showed you a swatch, right ? It seems like it was ages ago. But I'll try to skip the part where I confess just how bad of a blogger I am and I'll get right to the point instead...

Golden Rose Holiday #78 is a neon orange textured nail polish with some tiny, almost invisible silver shimmer in it. It applies like a charm and two coats are opaque enough. Also, you don't have to wait too much in between coats, as this nail polish dries before you finish painting the nails on the other hand, which I find amazing.

As always, I am very sorry I cannot show you this beauty in natural light, but time is so precious to me, I can barely afford it ! ^_^ These photos were, therefore, taken in artificial light. But if you want to get a glimpse of how the color of this nail polish looks like in natural light, you might want to check out this design I did a while back. I used this nail polish as a base color, but then I also made a gradient with another nail polish, drew some flowers and applied a glossy top coat. Well, I guess it will just have to do... ^_^

You can purchase this nail polish for 15 RON from cosmania.ro and you can also like the Golden Rose Romania Facebook page to stay updated with their latest products and discounts.

Thanks for the visit ! Bye !

Fish

Hello, everybody !

Today's theme in the "Alphabet nail art challenge" is the letter 'F', and I chose to create a Fish manicure. I used some gorgeous Kiko nail polishes for this look, together with the water marble technique and some fish decals.

I first used a base coat and then applied Kiko #526 Mint on all of my nails. I chose to leave the middle and ring fingers plain and apply some fish decals. On the other nails, I created some sort of waves with the water marble technique, by combining Kiko #266 Ultramarine Blue, Kiko #521 Pearly Ocean and Kiko #228 Sparkle Touch Transparent Microglitter. On the thumbs I chose to also apply some fish decals in order to hide some small mistakes. ^_^ The Seche Vite top coat allowed me to keep my manicure intact for a whole week (I wore this about a month ago).

So... now onto your opinions ! Do you like the theme, the idea, the result, the pictures ?... I'd love to see what you think about this design. Thank you for your time ! ^_^

Exotic

Hello, everybody !

Today's theme in the "Alphabet nail art challenge" is the letter 'E', and I chose to create an Exotic manicure. I used two gorgeous and hot nail polishes and combined them into a gradient, then used acrylic paint to freehand some hibiscus flowers.

I started with a base coat and then applied two coats of Golden Rose Holiday #78. This is definitely the must-have of the summer. It's a hot orange textured nail polish, but also has some fine silver shimmer in it. It looks gorgeous on tanned skin, it applies wonderfully and dries really fast. Once that dried, I used a makeup sponge and dabbed the hot pink China Glaze 'Love's A Beach' on the tips of my nails. Then I just started free-handing some hibiscus flowers with black acrylic paint. To seal the design, I used Seche Vite and, even though the finish was textured at first, the top coat made it a little bit smoother and more even. I wore this manicure for a whole week about a month ago (if you're wondering why my nails look long again ^_^). I got tons of compliments and everyone doubted that I actually painted the flowers, arguing that they were decals. I actually had to make them look up-close and show them that there were no two identical flowers. I kinda hate it when that happens, but it also means that the design is perfect, right ? :p

So... now onto your opinions ! Do you like the theme, the idea, the result, the pictures ?... I'd love to see what you think about this design. Thank you for your time ! ^_^

The kiss of spring

Hello !
I created this article just to show you how I'll be starting my week. I just did my manicure and pedicure and I am so proud of how they turned out.

I used the gorgeous Rimmel London Space Dust for most of the look, which is a textured nail polish. It's a beautiful sparkly nude that is perfectly opaque in two coats and dries in no time. It's absolutely amazing, and another good thing about it is that it costed me only 10,99 RON from DM. For the manicure, I created two accent nails by using Golden Rose Rich Color #05, another gorgeous nude nail polish that I used so many times just because I am in love with it ! Once that dried, I applied some water decals with delicate pink and purple roses. I applied top coat on the accent nails and I left the other nails just how I like them: textured ! ^_^

I hope you like this look as much as I do. I think it's perfect for spring and totally wearable on a daily basis.

Oh, and by the way... If you've noticed that I cut my nails, it's because they kept exfoliating and turning really ugly. Besides, for the last month I've turned into a 'girl that lifts'. That's right ! :D I'm going to the gym 3-4 times a week to get in shape, so long nails were not coping with that much iron. ^_^ Anyway, my obsession with longer nails just ended after finishing this manicure. I think short nails look way cuter. Wouldn't you agree ?...
Kisses !
