Hello, dears !

Let me just start by making a statement: I HATE RAIN !!!

It's not pretty, it's not romantic, it's not pleasant. Rain makes you sleepy, makes you wanna stay at home in bed, sleeping, or doing who knows what, even when it's not weekend, and you have to go to work / school no matter what - so it's not pretty. Rain makes your hair look awful and smell even worse - it doesn't make you look better and there's no romance in that, right ? Rain prevents you from wearing a nice dress and some nice shoes, as it creates puddles and it's not pleasant stepping into them unless you have serious boots.

Did I make it clear ? I suppose so... :)

However, I had a truly nice time creating those stamped umbrellas on my nails on that beautiful grey background. I must admit that this design totally matches the weather outside and I believe that the matte top coat I used makes it totally worth wearing.

Permiteţi-mi să încep prin a face o declaraţie: URĂSC PLOAIA !!!

Nu e drăguţă, nu e romantică, nu e plăcută. Ploaia te face somnoros, te face să vrei să stai acasă în pat, să dormi, sau să faci cine ştie ce, chiar şi atunci când nu e weekend şi trebuie să mergi la servici / şcoală orice s-ar întâmpla - deci nu e drăguţă. Ploaia îţi face părul să arate îngrozitor şi să miroasă şi mai rău - nu te face să arăţi mai bine şi nu e niciun romantism în asta, nu ? Ploaia te împiedică să porţi o rochiţă drăguţă şi nişte pantofi finuţi, întrucât formează băltoace şi nu e plăcut să calci în ele decât dacă ai nişte bocanci ca lumea.

E destul de clar ? Presupun că da... :)

Cu toate acestea, m-am simţit foarte bine când am ştampilat acele umbreluţe pe unghiile mele, pe acel frumos fundal gri. Trebuie să recunosc că acest model se potriveşte perfect cu vremea de afară şi cred că top coat-ul matifiant pe care l-am folosit face din acest model unul care merită să fie purtat.

I want this to be a short post, so I'll do my best.

Bună, dragelor !
Vreau ca această postare să fie una scurtă, aşa că mă voi strădui...

In the first picture you can see some products I received from Roxana for doing her nails. She just loved the design so much, that she felt the need to repay me somehow, so she was like a spy in my house, trying to figure out what was missing from my collection. :) She's a doll ! Therefore, she gave me four Lidan acrylic paints (green, yellow, red and blue) and two Gabrini nail polishes (the blue one is #371 and the green one is #362).

În prima poză puteţi vedea nişte produse pe care le-am primit de la Roxana pentru că i-am făcut unghiile. I-a plăcut atât de mult modelul, încât a simţit nevoia să mă recompenseze cumva, aşa că a fost ca un spion la mine în casă, încercând să îşi dea seama ce îmi lipseşte de prin colecţie. :) E o scumpă ! Aşadar, ea mi-a dăruit patru vopsele acrilice Lidan (verde, galben, roşu şi albastru) şi două oje Gabrini (cea albastră este #371, iar cea verde este #362).

In the second picture you can see something I bought myself. I had to buy the Miss Sporty Nail Expert 5 in 1 Total Care Action: Strength, Growth, Moisture, Smooth and Shine - it was 7.5 RON, so I couldn't resist. I also found the cutest nail art brushes ever, which are not only beautiful, but also qualitative and really cheap - the set of four brushes cost me only 8 RON.

În cea de-a doua poză puteţi vedea ceva ce am cumpărat chiar eu. Trebuia să cumpăr Miss Sporty Nail Expert 5 in 1 Tratament Complet Pentru Unghii: Fortifică, Protejează, Hidratează, Netezeşte şi Conferă strălucire - a costat 7,5 RON, deci nu am putut rezista. Am găsit de asemenea şi cel mai drăguţ set de pensule pentru nail art, care nu numai că sunt frumoase, ci şi de calitate şi extrem de ieftine - setul de patru pensule m-a costat numai 8 RON.

In the third picture you can see some beautiful nail polishes I received from the lovely Gia. Why ? Well, maybe because I won her "Autumnal Look" contest and I didn't tell you until now because I wanted to show you also the prize. Therefore, from left to right are: China Glaze Love's a Beach, Flormar True Color #003, Gabrini Glitter #G08, Gabrini Glitter #G02 and Coral Prosilk #212. I can't wait to try them out ! For sure Love's a Beach and Coral Prosilk will be swatched soon. I already used the two Gabrini Glitters in a very small amount in my most recent manicure.

În cea de-a treia poză puteţi vedea nişte oje frumoase pe care le-am primit de la frumoasa Gia. De ce ? Păi, poate pentru că am câştigat concursul ei „Look de toamnă" şi nu v-am spus până acum pentru că voiam să vă arăt şi premiul. Aşadar, de la stânga la dreapta sunt: China Glaze Love's a Beach, Flormar True Color #003, Gabrini Glitter #G08, Gabrini Glitter #G02 şi Coral Prosilk #212. De-abia aştept să le încerc ! Cu siguranţă Love's a Beach şi Coral Prosilk vor fi 'swatch'uite în curând. Am folosit deja cele două Gabrini Glitter într-o cantitate foarte mică în cea mai recentă manichiură a mea.

The Polish Addict Group Challenge - 5. Inspired by a country

Yeeey !!! It's weekend, it's Saturday, it's time for a new manicure for the T.P.A. Group Challenge ! Today I must show you a manicure "Inspired by a country" and, of course, I chose Germany.

Why 'of course' ? Because I have a job that involves speaking German with German people about 9-11 hours a day. So, you could say that Germany is a big part of my life... well, at least indirectly. I have also visited Germany three times until now, also due to my job.

That being said, I'll leave you with the photos of my design. I chose to do the German flag on my thumb, the phrase "I know German" (in German) on my index finger, a typical German beer mug on my middle finger, a German pretzel on my ring finger and finally some typical German letters on my pinky.

Yeeey !!! Este weekend, este sâmbătă, este timpul pentru o nouă manichiură din cadrul colaborărilor din grupul T.P.A. Astăzi trebuie să vă arăt o manichiură „inspirată de o ţară" şi, bineînţeles, am ales Germania.

De ce „bineînţeles" ? Deoarece am o slujbă care implică comunicarea în limba germană cu nemţi aproximativ 9-11 ore pe zi. Prin urmare, aţi putea spune că Germania reprezintă o mare parte din viaţa mea... bine, cel puţin indirect. De asemenea, am vizitat Germania de trei ori până acum, tot datorită slujbei mele.

Acestea fiind spuse, vă las cu pozele modelului meu. Am ales să fac steagul Germaniei la degetul mare, fraza „Ştiu germană" (în germană) la arătător, o halbă de bere germană la degetul mijlociu, un covrigel tipic nemţesc la inelar şi în sfârşit nişte litere specific germane la degetul mic.

Sper că şi vouă vă place această manichiură la fel de mult cum îmi place mie, iar dacă aveţi întrebări, vă rog să nu ezitaţi să mă contactaţi.

KIKO #266 Ultramarine Blue

Hello, ladies !

I was telling you a while back about a gift I received from one of my colleagues. The thing is: he went on a trip in Milan and came back with a different KIKO nail polish for each of the girls in my office. I chose the KIKO Sparkle Touch #261 Pearly Amethyst I swatched here. However, a colleague of mine that doesn't use nail polish at all gave her present to me, as she knew how crazy about nail polishes I am.

So, here I am, swatching the mesmerizing KIKO #266 Ultramarine Blue. As its name also suggests, it is a deep dark blue with very fine sparkles in it, I really don't know if I should call this nail polish a pearlescent one... Maybe you could help me after seeing the photos. :) It has a really nice consistency, it applies quite well and I only needed two coats for full opacity. The drying time was average and in the photos you can see below I only applied a protective base coat and no top coat at all. Do you like it ? By the way, I'm not sure that I need to mention it, but I took the photos in the evening, with flash.

Vă povesteam acum ceva vreme despre un cadou pe care l-am primit de la un coleg. S-a întâmplat aşa: el a fost într-o călăorie la Milano şi s-a întors cu câte o ojă KIKO diferită pentru fiecare fată din biroul meu. Eu am ales KIKO Sparkle Touch #261 Pearly Amethyst pe care am 'swatch'uit-o aici. Totuşi, una dintre colegele mele care nu foloseşte oje deloc mi-a dat mie cadoul ei, întrucât ştia că sunt înnebunită după oje.

Aşadar, iată-mă acum, 'swatch'uind-o pe fermecătoarea KIKO #266 Ultramarine Blue. Aşa cum şi numele o sugerează, este de un albastru închis intens cu particule de sclipici foarte fine, chiar nu ştiu dacă ar trebui să spun despre ea că e sidefată... Poate mă ajutaţi voi după ce vedeţi pozele. :) Are o consistenţă bună, se aplică uşor şi am avut nevoie de numai două straturi pentru opacitate completă. Timpul de uscare a fost mediu, iar în pozele pe care le vedeţi mai jos am aplicat doar o bază protectoare, fără niciun top coat. Vă place ? Apropo, nu sunt sigură dacă este nevoie să menţionez, dar am făcut pozele seara, cu bliţ.

Wet n Wild Shine #443D Bijou Blue

Hello, ladies !

This is the third and last swatch from the polishes I received from Gabrielle. If you want to see the detailed descriptions of the other two nail polishes I won in her giveaway, you can find them here and here. Today it's time for the lovely, wonderful, breath-taking Bijou Blue - well, at least this is my opinion when it comes to it. The colour is amazing, maybe also because I'm a sucker for blue. It's a pearlescent nail polish and, although I expected it to streak, it didn't. I applied two coats and it covered my nails better than expected, because I read a lot of reviews about it on the internet and they all said that it would only be opaque after three coats. The drying time was also OK. As usual, I applied a protective base coat and no top coat, as Bijou Blue is already quite glossy on its own.

Do you like it ?

Acesta este cel de-al treilea şi ultimul 'swatch' din ojele pe care le-am primit de la Gabriela. Dacă vreţi să vedeţi descrierile detaliate ale celorlalte două oje pe care le-am câştigat în 'giveaway'-ul organizat de ea, le puteţi găsi aici şi aici. Astăzi este rândul încântătoarei, minunatei, captivantei Bijou Blue - ei bine, cel puţin aceasta este părerea mea în ceea ce o priveşte. Culoarea este uimitoare, poate şi datorită faptului că sunt înnebunită după albastru. Este o ojă sidefată şi, deşi mă aşteptam să lase dâre, nu a făcut-o. Am aplicat două straturi şi mi-a acoperit unghiile mai bine decât mă aşteptam, deoarece am citit multe recezii despre ea pe internet şi toate spuneau că va fi opacă după trei straturi. Timpul de uscare a fost şi el OK. Ca de obicei, am aplicat o bază protectoare şi niciun top coat, întrucât Bijou Blue este deja destul de lucioasă de una singură.

Vă place ?

The Polish Addict Group Challenge - 4. Inspired by a season

It's Saturday again, so I'll show you the manicure that I created for T.P.A. Group Challenge #4. It is "Inspired by a season" and I chose autumn, because I also wanted my nails to match the scenery. :)

Este din nou sâmbătă, deci vă voi arăta manichiura pe care am creat-o pentru T.P.A. Group Challenge #4. Este „inspirată de un anotimp" iar eu am ales toamna, şi pentru că voiam ca unghiile mele să se potrivească cu peisajul. :)

Vă las cu pozele şi, dacă vreţi să vedeţi pas cu pas cum am creat manichiura, continuaţi să daţi scroll. :)

My manicure, step by step:

Manichiura mea, pas cu pas:

- If you have already seen the background / the base of today's design here, then you already know I chose a teal / green base for all of my nails except for my ring fingers, which I painted a light brown and then added three coats of a copper-gold glitter. 

- Dacă deja aţi văzut fundalul / baza modelului de astăzi aici, înseamnă că ştiţi deja că am ales o bază 'teal' / verde pentru toate unghiile cu excepţia celor de la inelare, pe care le-am făcut cu un maro deschis peste care am adăugat trei straturi de glitter auriu-arămiu. 

- On the gorgeous teal colour I decided to paint some simple autumnal leaves without crowding the nails too much. I used white acrylic paint and a fine detail brush.

- Pe superba culoare 'teal' am ales să pictez nişte frunze simple de toamnă fără a încărca prea mult unghiile. Am folosit vopsea acrilică albă şi o pensulă fină pentru detalii.

- Then, I added yellow nail polish to colour the leaves.

- Apoi, am adăugat ojă galbenă pentru a colora frunzele.

- Finally, I drew the veins of the leaves using an orange nail polish with some fine golden particles (see the swatch here) and I added the top coat.

- La final, am desenat nervurile frunzelor cu o ojă portocalie cu particule fine aurii (vezi 'swatch-ul' aici) şi am adăugat top coat.

Miss Sporty Lasting Colour #520

Hello, ladies !

This wasn't supposed to be a swatch... at all ! I just wanted to prepare my nails for tomorrow's T.P.A. Group Challenge #4 "Inspired by a season" and I really felt that this nail polish is the one I should use. I bought it last week and you can see the article in which I mentioned it here.

However, this ended up being a swatch after all, because I absolutely love this nail polish, I love everything about it. The teal / green colour, the maxi brush, the quality, the price, the creme consistency, the application, the way it looks on me... Everything ! It's a nail polish that I totally recommend, it's worth the money and it won't disappoint you. It applies evenly, without streaking, it's perfectly opaque in two coats and although it's not mentioned anywhere on the bottle, it dries quite fast. And, believe it or not, I didn't apply any top coat and look how glossy it is !

Oh, and if you can't ignore the ring finger, guess which season do you think inspired me for tomorrow's challenge ? :)

Acesta nu trebuia să fie un 'swatch'... deloc ! Voiam doar să îmi pregătesc unghiile pentru provocarea T.P.A. Group „inspirată de un anotimp" de mâine şi am simţit că aceasta este oja pe care ar trebui să o folosesc. Am cumpărat-o săptămâna trecută şi puteţi găsi aici articolul în care o menţionam.

Cu toate acestea, până la urmă s-a dovedit a fi vorba despre un 'swatch', pentru că pur şi simplu iubesc oja asta, iubesc totul la ea. Culoarea 'teal' / verde, pensula maxi, calitatea, preţul, consistenţa cremoasă, aplicarea, felul în care arată pe mine... Totul ! Este o ojă pe care o recomand în totalitate, merită banii şi nu vă va dezamăgi. Se aplică uniform, nu lasă dâre, este perfect opacă în două straturi şi, deşi nu este menţionat nicăieri pe sticlă acest aspect, se usucă relativ repede. Şi, credeţi sau nu, nu am aplicat top coat şi priviţi cât este de lucioasă !

Ah, şi dacă nu puteţi să ignoraţi degetul inelar, ghiciţi ce anotimp credeţi că m-a inspirat pentru provocarea de mâine ? :)
